THE HONEYMOON IS OVER,  FOLLOW ME NOW?

WHERE'S OBAMA? I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO STAND BY DASCHLE

 

OOPS, yesterday this was Tom Dashle and guess who was standing behind him?  

Obama stands behind Daschle

BARACK Obama has stood behind Tom Daschle after the health and human services nominee was grilled by US senators over his failure to pay $US140,000 ($220,000) in taxes until last month.

Asked yesterday if he was still committed to Mr Daschle, the US President replied: "Absolutely."

Now, some 24 hours later, here is Tom Daschle withdrawing from the nomination as Health and Human Secretary and yes Obama is nowhere to be seen.

 

The tax problem stems form Mr. Daschle's use of a car and driver, hmm I wonder what happened to the old Pontiac Mr Daschle drove while he was a Senator?
