The legal term is Lex Talionis, "an eye for an eye. a tooth for a tooth," or in other words retributive justice, in Islam it mirrors exact and equivalent justice.  That is why in Muslim Countries that follow strict Lex Talionis principles the crime rate is very low, many crimes lead to the punishment of death; for the following crimes of rape, sodomy, homosexuality, adultery, murder, just to name a few.  

Today, the shoe-thrower of Iraq received 3 years in prison for his assault on the President of the United States.  Many are making this a heavy sentence, however if this occurred lets say in New York City at a press briefing, that individual would be looking to serve Ten Years.

§ 1751. Presidential and Presidentialstaff assassination, kidnapping, and assault; penalties

(a)(1) any individual who is the President of the United States, the President-elect, the Vice President, or, if there is no Vice President, the officer next in the order of succession to the Office of the President of the United States, the Vice President-elect, or any person who is acting as President under the Constitution and laws of the United States, or

(e) Whoever assaults any person designated in subsection (a)(1) shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both. Whoever assaults any person designated in subsection (a)(2) shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if the assault involved the use of a dangerous weapon, or personal injury results, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

OBAMA SINGS THE COKE SONG ON ARAB TV: WANTS TO BUY AHMADINEJAD A COKE

President Barack Obama chose an Arabic satellite TV network for his first formal television interview as president, part of a concerted effort to repair relations with the Muslim world that were damaged under the previous administration.

Obama cited his Muslim background and relatives, practically a taboo issue during the U.S. presidential campaign, and said in the interview, which aired Tuesday, that one of his main tasks was to communicate to Muslims "that the Americans are not your enemy."

The interview on the Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news channel aired as Obama's new envoy to the region, former Sen. George J. Mitchell, arrived in Egypt on Tuesday for a visit that will also take him to Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Obama said the U.S. had made mistakes in the past but "that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there's no reason why we can't restore that."

Let's all sing Kumbaya, or better yet lets all sing the coke song,  Obama would love to buy the Muslim world a coke and live in perfect harmony.  Here were two answers that bring a chill up my leg of fear, what have we elected?  Buying a Coke is not a policy to deal with Terror or Iran, extending an open hand is not the way to go.  Here are the two Obama answers that should scare every American from the Al-Arabiya interview.

Q: President Bush framed the war on terror conceptually in a way that was very broad, “war on terror,” and used sometimes certain terminology that the many people — Islamic fascism. You’ve always framed it in a different way, specifically against one group called al Qaeda and their collaborators. And is this one way of –

THE PRESIDENT: I think that you’re making a very important point. And that is that the language we use matters. And what we need to understand is, is that there are extremist organizations — whether Muslim or any other faith in the past — that will use faith as a justification for violence. We cannot paint with a broad brush a faith as a consequence of the violence that is done in that faith’s name.

And so you will I think see our administration be very clear in distinguishing between organizations like al Qaeda — that espouse violence, espouse terror and act on it — and people who may disagree with my administration and certain actions, or may have a particular viewpoint in terms of how their countries should develop. We can have legitimate disagreements but still be respectful. I cannot respect terrorist organizations that would kill innocent civilians and we will hunt them down.

Because only those carrying laminated Al Qaeda Life Member cards can be targeted. We know thatHezbollah, Hamas, Al Qaeda-in-Iraq, Ansar al-Islam, Islamic Jihad, Abu Sayyaf, Jemaah Islamiyah, Fatah and Darul Islam have nothing to do with one another and can only be targeted with a complete police investigation after a crime has been committed.

Q: Will the United States ever live with a nuclear Iran? And if not, how far are you going in the direction of preventing it?

THE PRESIDENT: You know, I said during the campaign that it is very important for us to make sure that we are using all the tools of U.S. power, including diplomacy, in our relationship with Iran... Now, the Iranian people are a great people, and Persian civilization is a great civilization. Iran has acted in ways that’s not conducive to peace and prosperity in the region: their threats against Israel; their pursuit of a nuclear weapon which could potentially set off an arms race in the region that would make everybody less safe; their support of terrorist organizations in the past — none of these things have been helpful.

But I do think that it is important for us to be willing to talk to Iran, to express very clearly where our differences are, but where there are potential avenues for progress. And we will over the next several months be laying out our general framework and approach. And as I said during my inauguration speech, if countries like Iran are willing to unclench their fist, they will find an extended hand from us...

Lets extend a hand, buy a coke and lets talk, and the World will be a better place as we all sing the Coke song . . .

Sphinx Has No Nose For Politics

Cairo, Egypt December 29, 2008

Everybody is an expert in Egypt on United States Presidential Politics. Every Egyptian I have contact ask about President Obama. Take Hassan the camel Driver at the Great Pyramid of Giza, Hassan asks, "do you like President Obama?". I thought is the fictional Office of the President-elect getting real play in Egypt? However, my answer did
not go into how Obama is not the President, not
until Jamuary 20, 2009, but I did say I did
not vote for Obama, and I do
not like his politics. "Why you do not like Obama?" Said Hassan the camel driver.

At that point what does it really matter, so I just stated, "I have to wait and see."

The camel driver is not the only
person to mention Obama, I have had Muhammed the guide, Muhammed the carpet seller, and multitude of others. Obama is a popular guy even in Egypt.

I even had a long conversation with our guide about the principles that made the USA prosperous, and how free-markets and less government intrusion in our lives helped to bring about a greater middle
class and in the minds of the world rich Americans. In Egypt there is basically two classes rich & poor, the haves and the
have nots. You do have a middle class, but the majority of Egyptians are poor, why is this? According to my guide it Is the distrust of the government.

In his own way he was saying, it's the government that causes the problems, I said that is the reason I do not like Obama, he sees government as the solution, but as you say it is the problem.

Egyptians have no nose for presidential politics, but at least one knows government is the problem.

Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed Everywhere

Cairo, Egypt December 28, 2008

Landed in Cairo, Egypt and guess who was there to greet my son and I, Muhammed. He had trouble remembering my name and my son, but no problem for us, I told him that if I yelled his name in a crowded bazaar, many heads would raise.

As he laughed I was searching Drudge and saw the latest headlines where Iran is calling for all Muslims to stand, unite, and fight for the Palestinians.

The Muslims growth are not just in the Arab States of the Middle-East, but reach into Western Europe. The #1 baby boy name in Amsterdam is Muhammed, not only that, in the UK Brits are nervious about the migration of Muslims into their country. Shariah Law is a possibility and the #4 baby boy name given last year in London was Muhammed.

Even in the USA there is a raising tide, I asked our tour guide, "what religion was Barack Hussein Obama," Muhammed's reply, "MUSLIM."

AL-QUAIDA PLANS TO INVADE FACEBOOK, REBUILD CONNECTIONS & SPREAD PROPAGANDA

Do you know who your friends are?  Sun-tzu, in the Art of War, stated, "KEEP YOUR FRIENDS CLOSE, AND YOUR ENEMIES CLOSER."  Well your local jihadist is planning just that, by using the social networking tool of FACEBOOK.  

INVADING FACEBOOK. That’s the title of a post last week by Faloja member `Umar `Abd al-Hakim in Syria.  `Umar believes that Jihadis have successfully penetrated Youtube and it’s now time to more directly market their materials to the masses.  To this end, he gives an overview of Facebook and why it will be useful for Jihadi propagandists.  To get the ball rolling, `Umar and others announced a campaign yesterday, “Aid Invasion2″ (Ghazwat al-Nusra2).  Below is a summary of `Umar’s introductory post, followed by the announcement of the campaign. 

Note that the Facebook invaders believe the propaganda front is outside of the Jihadi forums, a point I have made repeatedly.  Moreover, this is not an attempt to replicate the social networks that exist on the forums; the members of the campaign want to exploit existing networks of people who are hostile to them and presumably they will adopt new identities once they have posted their material.  Additionally, `Umar believes this is a solution to the recent closure of prominent Jihadi forums and channels of media distribution.  Finally, the structure of the Nusra2 campaign organization is interesting: compartmentalized and hierarchical.`Umar’s “Raiding Facebook: Theory and Practice”:

•  We have already had great success in raiding Youtube.
• American politicians have used Facebook to get votes, like the house slave Obama.
• Anyone can join and you can reach millions of people.  The April 6 youth are a good example of this.
• I am writing this because supporters of jihad don’t know how to use Facebook to reach Americans or Muslims.
• Don’t worry about security as long as you don’t disclose your personal info and you use new email addresses to subscribe.
• A large number of people in the Arab world are using Facebook.
• We can use Facebook to fight the media attack on Jihadi media and the forums.  We can post media on Facebook that shows the Crusader losses.
• Since Facebook is so widespread, we need to use it.
• By using Facebook, we can move from the forums and engage common people and Americans themselves to show them the reality of their losses, which are being concealed by their media.
• One of the goals of invading Facebook is to “move away from elite society (the forums and the Jihadi websites) to Muslims in general and participate and interact with them.” [parenthetical comments are `Umar's]
• The brothers should immediately start to build their expertise in using Facebook.
• I’ve called this campaign “Ghazwat al-Nusra2″ (Aid Invasion2) because we are aiding our brothers on the forums: Hesbah, Firdaws, Boraq, and Ekhlaas.

`Umar then provides a series of detailed instructions on how to sign up for Facebook.

 Yesterday’s announcement of the structure of the campaign follows:

There are seven brigades, each headed by a commander.  

1. Sharia Brigade: spreads Salafi-Jiahdi doctrine and responding to doubts planted by erring people to misguide Muslim youth.  It will distribute articles and audio messages from Salafi-Jihadi scholars.
2. Media and Planning Brigade: distributes Jihadi media files and incitement plans
3. Statements Brigade: posts Jihadi statements
4. Preparation Brigade: distributes military training material
5. Security Brigade: distributes security info required for Jihadi media and also security courses
6. English Media Brigade: posts Jihadi media and statements in English
7. Martyrs and Prisoners Brigade: distributes bios, writings, and videos of martyrs.  Also material on prisoners

Each brigade will establish a special group that is secret and not known to the other brigades.  There is no contact between any of the brigades.  Each brigade will have eight members, who will each participate in at least two groups.  

Each commander of a brigade is on the Shura Council, in addition to `Umar `Abd al-Hakim [total of 8 people].  Every week, members of a brigade will write their commander and tell him of their activities.  He will pass the reports along to the Shura council, which will then issue a weekly report of the campaign’s activities.

Jihadist have outlined a detailed plan to invade FACEBOOK, the sole-purpose, TO KEEP YOUR FRIENDS CLOSE AND YOUR ENEMIES CLOSER, just be sure you know who you accept as your friend.

WMD'S WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION FOUND IN IRAQ

The Day After George W. Bush left Bagdad, U.S. Military Forces discovered the WMD'S, the Weapons of Mass Destruction.  The Iraq War is an ongoing military campaign which began on March 20, 2003 with the invasion of Iraq.  Iraq's alleged possession of weapons of mass destruction was claimed to pose a serious threat to the security of the United States.  Now the WMDs have been found and are said to be in secured US military's possession.

WMDs are secure and are in the hands of the US Military.  Thank God.

DID THE SHOE HIT GEORGE "ABANDONED FREE MARKET PRINCIPLES" BUSH?

George Bush's epitaph makes as much sense as what GWB did for the Republican party, I abandoned conservative principles to save the Republican party.  No Mr. President you abandoned conservative principles and destroyed the Republican party and now you are destroying our economy.

First Shoe:

This is the gift from the Iraqis this is the farewell kiss you dog.

Second Shoe:

This is from the widows, the orphans and those killed in Iraq.

I wonder if the Shoe-Thrower a.k.a. Muntadhar al-Zaidi will become as popular as Joe-the-plumber did?  In the meantime, the shoe-thrower is cooling his heels in an Iraqi jail.

BAGHDAD: A day after an Iraqi television journalist threw his shoes at President George W. Bush at a news conference here Sunday, his act of defiance toward the American commander in chief reverberated throughout Iraq and across the Arab world.
