Two-Hundred prominent Gay & Lesbian leaders partied at the White House with Obama today, ABC news reported that Abba's, "Dancing Queen filled the East Room of the White House as Michelle and Barack Hussein Obama entered the room to thunderous applause from the invitees of the first White House Gay Pride Party.  

President Obama told the group he is committed to equality for their community.

"This struggle continues today, for even as we face extraordinary challenges as a nation, we cannot and will not put aside issues of basic equality," he said, "We seek an America in which no one feels the pain of discrimination based on who you are or who you love."

Many gay and lesbians believe the President has been slow to act on major issues like the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy, and the Defense of Marriage Act. The President asked the group to focus on what has been accomplished so far.

"I know that many in this room don't believe that progress has come fast enough, and I understand that," he said, "But I say this:  We have made progress.  And we will make more."

President Obama continued, "there are unjust laws to overturn and unfair practices to stop, among those the 'Defense of Marriage Act."

He ended his speech with a promise to champion their cause in the days to come.

"I want you to know that, in this task, I will not only be your friend; I will continue to be an ally and a champion and a president who fights with you and for you."

On a side note, when White House Press Secretary was asked about the events at an earlier Press Conference, Mr. Gibbs looked uncomfortable talking about the first ever White House Gay Pride event, come on Gibbs, get on board.

The House of Representatives continued to legislate CHANGE that will be  "the biggest job killing bill that’s ever been on the floor of the House of Representatives. Right here, this bill,” said House Minority Leader John Boehner. “And I don’t think that’s what the American people want.”

Donning reading glasses, Boehner then delayed the roll call vote by reading page-by-page through a 300-page managers’ amendment Democrats added at around 3 a.m. on Friday. Boehner seemed to relish the hour-long stunt, picking out the bill’s most obscure language and then pontificating about what it might – or might not – mean. Republicans laughed along with him and roared with applause when he was done.  "The bill of the century" remains unread, but the end result according to Warren Buffet, will be a regressive tax that all public utilities will pass onto consumers.  As recently acknowledged by a top White House official, a global warming tax could generate as much as $1.9 trillion in tax revenue over eight years, which amounts to a nearly $2,000 tax every year for every American household.  Here is a list of the 8 Republicans who voted for the tax:

THE SCARLET LETTER:  THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN & SPECIFICALLY ADULTERY

King David v. Mark Sanford 

Round two, another hidden sin that comes to light in the Republican party,  last week it was Republican Senator from Nevada, John Ensign, today, "Where is Mark Sanford?" the Republican Governor from South Carolina, who likes to hike the appalachian trail in ARGENTINA (somebody inform the U.S. Park Service that the trail extends all the way to Argentina, Please), confessed to an extra-marital affair to a close dear Argentinian friend. 

The Party of Values is being exposed at an alarming rate and is not beneficial for upcoming bids to take back gains from the Democrats.  Enough of future election damage, now to the focus of my post, the consequences of sin.  Mark Sanford, in his mea culpa press conference today said something interesting concerning sin and God's moral law:

It's not a moral, rigid list of do's and don'ts just for the heck of do's and don'ts; it is indeed to protect us from ourselves ...

Sin is, in fact, grounded in this notion of 'what is it that I want' as opposed to somebody else ...

There are moral absolutes, and God's law is indeed there to protect you from yourself, and there are consequences if you breach that. This press conference is a consequence.

I agree with Mark Sanford, that there are moral absolutes, and God's law is indeed in place to

 protect you, and if you violate God's law you suffer the consequences.  But what are the

 consequences that Mr. Sanford will suffer, just a press conference where the sin comes to light 

or is there more to come?  I believe more is to come and may not be known for sometime, you see 

Mr. Sanford lacks a prophet of God as King David had to tell him the consequences.  The prophet 

was Nathan.  

King David, like Governor Sanford, was not doing his job as a king, or in other words, King David 

was hiking the Appalachian Trail when he should of been at war with his troops.  The boredom 

brought about the sin, then the cover-up (I am sure Mr. Sanford has been covering his tracks 

even though we do not know the full extent at this time), and the sin comes to light just as Mr. 

Sanford's sin came to light today.

David's scarlet letter came to light through the prophet Nathan in 2 Samuel 12:

12:1 Then the LORD sent Nathan to David. And he came to him and said, "There were two men in one city, the one rich and the other poor.

2 "The rich man had a great many flocks and herds.

3 "But the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb Which he bought and nourished; And it grew up together with him and his children. It would eat of his bread and drink of his cup and lie in his bosom, And was like a daughter to him.

4 "Now a traveler came to the rich man, And he was unwilling to take from his own flock or his own herd, To prepare for the wayfarer who had come to him; Rather he took the poor man's ewe lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him."

5 Then David's anger burned greatly against the man, and he said to Nathan, "As the LORD lives, surely the man who has done this deserves to die.

6 "He must make restitution for the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing and had no compassion."

7 Nathan then said to David, "You are the man! Thus says the LORD God of Israel, 'It is I who anointed you king over Israel and it is I who delivered you from the hand of Saul.

8 'I also gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your care, and I gave you the house of Israel and Judah; and if that had been too little, I would have added to you many more things like these!

9 'Why have you despised the word of the LORD by doing evil in His sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword, have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the sons of Ammon.

Nathan exposed King David's sin, but he does not stop there, he forges ahead and tells the King the consequences of his sin:

10 'Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.'

11 "Thus says the LORD, 'Behold, I will raise up evil against you from your own household; I will even take your wives before your eyes and give them to your companion, and he will lie with your wives in broad daylight.

12 'Indeed you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and under the sun.'"

2 Samuel 12:14 "However, because by this deed you have given occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born to you shall surely die."

What were King David's consequences?

1. Family Torn Apart BY THE SWORD;

2. Evil against your Family, your wives taken and defiled;

3. The consequences shall be public to the nation;

4. The child conceived by the sin will die.

I do not see the press conference as a consequence to Mark Sanford's sin, I see that as exposing the sin, I believe God sees it that way also.  So if the press conference is not (the) (or) a consequence of Mr. Sanford's sin, then what is?   

At this point I can only speculate, but relationships have been torn between Mr. Sanford and God, Mr. Sanford and his wife, Mr. Sanford and his family, and Mr. Sanford and South Carolina.  From those torn relationships will come consequences that will be public for the nation to see, but hopefully, from the humility, forgiveness, and consequences, Mr. Sanford will be restored just as King David was restored.  Remember, "All have sinned and have come short of the glory of God."

The divide in America continues with Rasmussen's Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

today 33% Strongly DISAPPROVE and 33% Strongly APPROVE creating a BIG FAT ZERO for Obama's Approval Index.  One thing that is on the rise is more people are starting to say that this is Obama's economy now.  Another point in the poll is that American's are also evenly divided on health care.  My thought is, that if Obama continues to drive for Obama Care, you will see his approval index drop to negative numbers, my only hope is that he keeps the trend going, so that he will be a one term and out president.

"Hawaii is OBAMALAND"

This last week when Japanese News broke the story that North Korea planned a July 4 missile attack on Hawaii, I knew that Obama would not stand for this.  Hawaii is Obamaland.  No, Obamaland is not a new destination theme park, but the birthplace (Maybe, the adopted birthplace) of Obama.  In fact, when I visited last week the Island of Oahu, at the airport, I purchased a copy of the book "Obamaland" by Ron Jacobs, you are probably wondering why I would spend $19.59 on a book about Obama?  Well, it answers the question "who is Barack Obama? and has exclusive photos & maps with new facts & more."  It even has the copy of Obama's birth certificate, the same one that has been circulated all over the internet by fact check.  But, the real reason for the purchase was to find the best Hawaiian Shave Ice on Oahu.  

Hawaiian Shave Ice is a legend.  Here on the mainland, we refer to it as sno-cones, however, Hawaii shave ice has the consistency of real SNOW unlike in the states where a sno-cone is ice.  Authentic shave ice is made with a block of ice that is rotated under a motorized razor-sharp blade.  This creates a soft snow-like mound that is packed in either a paper cone or a plastic dish and flavored syrup is poured over the ice.  My favorite is cherry and pineapple.  The picture above is Obama with his daughters enjoying shave ice from "Island Snow" in Kailua, Hawaii on Oahu. 

So, I was not surprised to hear Obama reassuring Hawaii that the U.S.A. is prepared against any threat from the North Koreans.   

"This administration — and our military is fully prepared for any contingencies," Obama said Friday during an interview with CBS News' Harry Smith, to be broadcast Monday on "The Early Show."

"I don't want to speculate on hypotheticals," Obama said. "But I want ... to give assurances to the American people that the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted in terms of what might happen."

President is like any man, a man is going to protect those things he cares about the most, as with a man's family or a man's favorite food, he is not going to give it up without a fight.  I believe President Obama will do everything in his power to defeat the threat of Kim Il Jong, because if he does not, it might be the end of Hawaiian Shave Ice, and for me and Obama that would be a very bad thing.

"GOVERNMENT DOES NOT CREATE WEALTH . . . While Obama Swipes Flies 'W' SWATS OBAMA

"PRIVATE SECTOR NOT GOVERNMENT WILL FIX THE ECONOMY"

While the Amazing Barack Hussein the Multi-Tasker can kill a fly on CNBC, former President George W Bush took a swipe at Obama's agenda.  Speaking in Erie, Pennsylvania today W took a swipe at Obama's socialistic policies and in the process gave the business leaders listening to W, the political fly swatters needed to combat the Obama takeover of the U.S. economy.

The best quote which states the proper role of government by W was:

"Government does not create wealth.  The major role of government is to create an environment where people take risks to expand the job rate in the United States."

Notice W said nothing about saving jobs, but to expand the job market, this is what the private sector does best, create jobs.  Bush continued, "you (the people) can spend your money better than the government can spend your money."  While saying these words the U.S. Treasury announced that it will auction $104 Billion in debt next week, yes, that is a record.  The Obama administration and the greatest and most amazing economic team in history is not only killing flies, but is killing the U.S. Dollar and the entrepreneurial spirit that will produce risk takers who will create jobs.

The Blurring of the Lines Obama's Agenda Lacks Authority

Honolulu, Hawaii Have an Iphone you can blog anywhere, even on Waikiki Beach. The only problem is the grammatical errors that ultimately get into the blog. Yes, I have used my iPhone to blog from Egypt to Waikiki Beach. This post comes courtesy of a young man who went running to help an elderly man in need, just as the Good Samaritan. The Good Samaritan teaches many lessons like who are neighbor is . . . anyone you come in contact with. It also teaches how the lines are drawn. What I mean, it shows us jurisdiction, authority, the lines of authority, the lines of jurisdiction. You are thinking," I do not get it Lex Rex?" I am not suprised, the President Obama and most of the American People do not get it. The issue is who has the authority in the particular matter. In the case of the Good Samaritan the ones who stepped over the injured person committed no criminal wrong or act, however, those same people that ignored the injured committed a moral wrong. To get authority, jurisdiction, sovereignty, you must inderstand were all power comes from, you see all power comes from God and He alones delegates and grants jurisdiction. In other words God has transcribed the lines and just like when you are coloring if you stay within the lines you have a beautiful picture. But once you color outside the lines the picture becomes blurred and unrecognizable. This is the state our country, our government, and our president are operating under, outside their jurisdictional authority, outside the lines. I could go on a discourse on each point Obama and our government are exercising power outside their God given grant, but the one that bothers me the most is Obama's use of morals to espouse a government run health care. You see God has total jurisdiction of the heart not the government and mandating health care and taking away Doctors choice by removing the conscious objection is a prime example Obama does not get it and within the first 200 days. He has shown that he has no regard for any limitations on his authority. That means the U.S. Constitution is not applicable to this Obama administration.

OBAMA THE SHOE-THROWER . . . INSULTS ISRAEL

PRESIDENTIAL SHOE-THROWER OBAMA

How does a President throw a shoe?  Taking off your shoe and throwing it at someone like Netanyahu would be un-presidential, kind of like giving 25 DVD's of U.S. version to a foreign head of state.  No, if I want to be coy and insult someone with the bottom of my shoe, I would release a photo of the bottom of my shoe while I am on the phone with that person.  That is how a president throws a shoe.  This is also the smoking gun, this is the one piece of evidence I needed to prove Barack Hussein Obama is 100% Muslim.  This photo is the smoking gun, this is all I need to prove that Hussein Obama is not a Christian as he says, but a Muslim.  

In January of this year I spent two weeks with Muslim Bedouins in Egypt.  I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner with them in the desert.  While sitting on the floor or on the sand, I always made sure the soles of my shoes were not visible and likewise the Bedouins did the same.  Obama releases a photo of the bottom of the soles of his shoes while he is talking to Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu,  this is a pure calculated and presidential insult that a true Muslim would appreciate.  Israel you are right, this is what Obama thinks of the Jewish People.

Why Photo of Obama Talking to Israeli Prime Minister is Insulting to Israelis

To many, the photo of President Barack Obama sitting with his feet propped on his desk while on the phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems innocent enough. To some Israelis, however, the photo is offensive and an "insult" to Israel.

As CBS News pointed out:

"It is considered an insult in the Arab world to show the sole of your shoe to someone. It is not a Jewish custom necessarily, but Israel feels enough a part of the Middle East after 60 years to be insulted too."

The issue calls to mind the incident last December involving an Iraqi journalist who threw a shoe at former president George Bush. At the time, the BBC pointed out:

"In Arab culture it's considered rude even to display the sole of one's shoe to a fellow human being.

"Certainly, crossing one's legs ankle-on-knee style should never be done in a public place for fear of offending the person next to you.

"The sensitivity is related to the fact that shoes are considered ritually unclean in the Muslim faith.

"In addition to ritual ablutions before prayer, Muslims must take off their shoes to pray, and wearing shoes inside a mosque is forbidden.

"Shoes should either be left at the door of the mosque, or carried (preferably in the left hand with the soles pressed together)."

Time explained:

"Shoes, and feet in general, get a bad rap in Arab culture. The language is peppered with insults referring to feet. To say that someone or something is "like my foot" or "like my shoe" means that the person or object is of no importance and beneath you. Sitting cross-legged in a manner in which the sole of a foot is pointing toward an Arab is also a grave insult. U.S. troops in Iraq are often lectured on the importance of not exposing the soles of their shoes in public."

Actor Jon Voight, the master of ceremonies at the Repubulican Congressional Fundraiser, opened the evening with a series of sharp attacks on Obama, something many Republican leaders have been hesitant to do.

‘Weak Nation’

"We are becoming a weak nation," said Voight, calling Obama a "false prophet." Republicans need to find their way back to power to free the nation from "this Obama oppression," he said.

CREATE OR SAVE JOBS IS PLAIN OBAMA NEWSPEAK

"I WILL SAVE 600,000 JOBS BY THE END OF SUMMER"

Obama repackaged old promises today, of creating/saving 600,000 jobs by summers end.  Funny thing, the stimulus package that passed in February was to create/save 3.5 million jobs, but even with the huge bailouts and mighty government spending unemployment is rising.  Obama sensing that the American people are starting to show their anguish by dropping approval ratings, Obama continues the newspeak.   

Newspeak defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary:

new•speak (’nü-”spEk, ‘nyü-), noun, Usage: often capitalized. : propagandistic language marked by euphemism, circumlocution, and the inversion of customary meanings. Etymology: Newspeak, a language “designed to diminish the range of thought,” in the novel 1984 (1949) by George Orwell. Date: 1950

Create/save, is like having it both ways, Obama cannot lose.  Why you ask?  Because job creation can be measured at a specific point in time, but job saving sounds good but is unmeasurable.

On February 19, 2009, Greg Mankiw a economics professor at Harvard University wrote in his blog the seminal article on "Create and Save."

Mr. Mankiw starts the discussion with a question that Obama answered at his own press conference on February 9 his thinking then is still apropos to today's Obama's newspeak in regard to saving jobs:

Question: The American people have seen hundreds of billions of dollars spent already, and still the economy continues to free-fall. Beyond avoiding the national catastrophe that you've warned about, once all the legs of your stool are in place, how can the American people gage whether or not your programs are working? Can they — should they be looking at the metric of the stock market, home foreclosures, unemployment? What metric should they use? When? And how will they know if it's working, or whether or not we need to go to a plan B?

Answer: I think my initial measure of success is creating or saving 4 million jobs. That's bottom line No. 1, because if people are working, then they've got enough confidence to make purchases, to make investments. Businesses start seeing that consumers are out there with a little more confidence, and they start making investments, which means they start hiring workers. So step No. 1, job creation.

The expression "create or save," which has been used regularly by the President and his economic team, is an act of political genius. You can measure how many jobs are created between two points in time. But there is no way to measure how many jobs are saved. Even if things get much, much worse, the President can say that there would have been 4 million fewer jobs without the stimulus.

Political genius indeed or newspeak genius, Obama is having it both ways when he says he is saving jobs even though thousands upon thousands of Americans have lost their job.   The newspeak continues . . .
