    Reaganite Republican Resistance

Lex, I think I may know you from the Politics.com site.

I am in agreement with almost all your posts, we are of like mind... and I enjoy the blog.

I just wanted to mention that I spend a lot of time in Europe, and I just drove the FIAT Bravo- the car was fantastic. It is a very economical 1.4L turbo/6 spd stick, but they get either 120 hp or 150 hp out of it... not bad.

And FIAT owns Ferrari, Maserati, Lancia, and Alfa Romeo. They have engines up to V-12s, and run an F1 race team. They will, along with Mopar's current motors, be able to supply ANYTHING the market requires.

I even rented one of those little Pandas in Greece... that won't come to the States, but it was surprisingly big inside and a hoot to drive on those mountain roads. Sure didn't feel like 70hp, and I had the A/C blowing out ice cubes the whole time. It was no Hemi, but it got 50mpg, too.

I have had killer American muscle cars back in the day, but I can appreciate the way the world is going and a small car can be a lot of fun. FIAT also offers the midsize, like a Taurus or Malibu, FIAT Croma.

FIAT would have no problem with moving into bigger cars, they already make all sorts of premium stuff. The Quattroporte is no piece of junk, and they make trucks all the way up to big rigs.

The more primary concern for seeing vehicles you like dissappear would be draconian regulation from the Dems- like MPG reqs moving up.

And I don't think Obama looked out for the taxpayers' interest, he stole from the hedge funds and banks to give 55% to the UAW... who donated $5M to his campaign, of course. Those are the bigger problems... not FIAT products, I think they're great.

I must disclosed I am a little biased: I have had 3 classic Italian cars in America...and do a FIAT blog, too:

Keep up the good work, my friend.
